This classroom course teaches all the basic fundamentals required to safely operate a motor vehicle on South Carolina's roadways.  It covers signs and signals, road markings, vehicle control and right-of-way determination, impaired driving and all of the necessary rules of the road.

The behind-the-wheel instruction consists of 6 hours in the car with the instructor.  Depending on the level of driving experience that the student has at the time of the course, the 6 hours will be divided up into either 3 - two hour sessions or for drivers with little experience, 3-4 sessions ranging from 1-2 hours.  The students will experience driving through residential streets, highways (55 mph +) and traffic circles.

Students will be picked up at home or school and then delivered back there upon completion of their driving session. After each session, the instructor will discuss what their strengths are and what they need to practice.

Driving sessions are typically scheduled around school and on weekends, but for student athletes, we can sometimes accommodate with sessions in the morning before school begins.

For most teens, the combination of this course and practicing their driving with parents provides an ample amount of behind-the-wheel instruction for the student to be confident behind the wheel.  However, if parents, students or the instructors feel that the student needs more instruction, we will gladly provide additional sessions based on an hourly fee.

The classroom portion of this course is held on designated Saturdays from 8 - 4:30.  Please register online, email us at info@123DriveDrivingAcademy.com or call for schedule (843) 263-5023.
